What is TheHat?

The hat is full of words and your team has one turn to empty it. One player pulls a word and explains it — not the word itself, not its root, no pointing — while the next player races to say it out loud before the clock runs out. Type your answer (a quiet pen-scratch as you write) or play judge mode, where the explainer swipes each card Got it or Skip. 10 themes in English and Russian, and teams, rounds and turn length are all yours to set. Quick wits and a wide vocabulary win the night.

How to play

1. Each turn pairs an explainer with the next player as guesser.
2. Describe the word without saying it, its root, or gesturing.
3. Guesser types the answer — or the explainer swipes Got it / Skip.
4. Every correct word scores for both players; the timer rewards speed.
5. Pick from 10 themes in English or Russian; set teams, rounds & timer.
6. Highest team score after all rounds wins.
